Grapevine Vintage Train Ride Part II

Micah and I had a great time on the trip to Fort Worth, we chose the 1927 Open Air Coach to ride in. Even though it was August and Africa hot you could still feel the cool breeze when we were moving. The bad part was when the train would stop for 5 or 10 minutes and you could smell dead animals, delicious!

Follow up:

The car was beautiful and rough at the same time; the beautiful wooden seats had no padding and for that long of a ride was a little rough.

Our other choice was the 1925 car, which did have padded seats, but was enclosed which translates to "No Thank You" in 100 degree weather.

My favorite part of the train was a little concession area at the back, it reminded me of the movie Polar Express; which by the way The Grapevine Railroad has a Polar Express Trip in the Winter where kids dress in their pajamas and have a trip like in the movie. I so want to do this in December, I wonder if they would let me go in my pajamas with no kids.

All parts of the Trinity River that I didn't know existed!

Rushing waterfalls, What, No Brown Water?

No Floating Debris or worse?

Just Clean Clear Water, Oh Trinity where have you been hiding!

I might actually swim in this water without fear of having a parasite make me it's me host.

Slow down train; My favorite Donut Shop Krispy Kreme, Fried Sugar Heaven, If I was fast enough I would jump off the train to get a Cream Filled Chocolate Covered Donut. But I'm not that fast so I can only dream for now.

Join me tomorrow for the end of our Rairoad Adventure.
