This is a great decoration that you can make for almost any Holiday, just by changing the color of the wash cloths. I got this idea from a seeing it in a store, I thought I can so make this myself for allot less than $20.00. I know that doesn't sound like much, but hey every dollar counts.

While at the store I analyzed and partially dissected the item to learn how it was made, my deepest apologies to the Crafters Mall. Once done with my surgery I quickly went to Wal-Mart and bought all of the necessary items and went to work.

What I like most is that they are so simple yet so cute. I made this one at lunchtime at work while Sandra and Whitney watched me. I didn't tell them what I was making so it was allot of fun. They were calling out what they thought it was going to be.

Follow up:

"Is it a turkey?"

"No, I Said"

"How About A Pumpkin?"

"No"

"I Know It's A Travel Head Roll"

"You’ll Have To Wait And See, I Said"

The funniest part was at the end they were both like

"Huh! What is It?"

"It's A Decoration"

"What Do You Do With It?"

"Nothing, Just Sit It In Your Bathroom and Look At It"

"Huh! Can You Use The Washcloths?"

"No, They're Hot Glued, Its A D-E-C-O-R-A-T-I-O-N!"

"Huh"

With that being said, I am still in love with this little idea. I like to make them for my own house to set in the bathroom on the toilet lid as decoration.

They also make great gifts; you can put them in a gift basket with some baked treats and a bottle of Dessert Wine, perfect!

Items Needed:

18 Pack of Wash Cloths
1 Roll of Holiday Wired Ribbon
Hot Glue Gun
Hot Glue

1. Open up your Wash Cloths

  • I got this one from Wal-Mart for $3.33, what a Bargain!

2. This one has several Jewel Tones in Fall Colors

  • If you can't find a multi pack you can make your own
  • The Wash Cloths are never used so you can just buy cheap ones in colors you like.

3. Take the Wash Cloth and fold it in Half.

4. Roll the Wash Cloth up.

  • Make sure that it is even, but not too tight, you don’t want it to look like a Cigar..

5. Put a strip of Hot Glue on the end of the Wash Cloth and press it together.

6. The put a strip of Hot Glue on the Outside of the Wash Cloth.

  • This will close the roll to make one Piece.

7. Repeat this for all of the Wash Cloths to make 18 Rolls.

8. Once you have all of your rolls together put a strip of Hot Glue on the Outside of a Wash Cloth Roll

  • This will be the center color

9. Now put another Wash Cloth on the Center Piece with The Hot Glue.

10. Now put A strip of Hot Glue the one you just glued and add another Wash Cloth

  • When you add new Wash Cloths make sure to put one strip of Glue on the Center Wash Cloth and one on the new Wash Cloth.
  • This holds your piece together.

11. Continue to add Washcloths until you have a complete circle around the center Wash Cloth.

12. Then Repeat the process to make the outer ring.

13. You can add extra Glue where needed to make the Roll nice and tight

  • Put your Ribbon in the center of the Roll.

14. Tie a knot with the Ribbon.

15. Then Tie A Short Bow.

  • This is so you can make it puffy.

16. Tie another bow opposite the first one.

  • So you get a double bow, or a bow with 4 loops.
  • Make sure to glue the tips of each bow to the Wash Cloths to hold it in place.
  • Then puff the bow out

Tada! The perfect decoration, it also makes a great craft day with the kids!
