The Christmas Monster

With Halloween Officially over I decided to get ready for Christmas.

I know it seems a bit early, but I have a good reason.

Echo!

I have to put the trees up now without decorations to get him acclimated. So that when we put the ornaments on the newness will be worn off; and hopefully he won't scale them.

Follow up:

This leads me to our new Christmas tree. I had to buy one for the Family Room this year because Echo gave the old one heck and it looked so wonky that it went to Christmas Heaven last year; which I totally forgot about until I pulled out the Halloween Decorations.

Look at these boxes so innocent.

And then this pops out.

I should have known something was wrong when I put the base on the stand and it was huge with only one section. I decided to get a 9 foot tree without thinking about how wide it would be.

Sweet Jesus It's a Monster

So being me, I continued to put the tree together thinking "You know this will look different once it's all done".

Not the case, It's even bigger now!

I called Micah in and asked “Do you think it’s too big for the Family Room” and he said "No it will fit great if we move the Sofa out".

So I decided to leave The Monster in the Living Room and put my Baby 7 Foot Slim Tree in the Family Room.

It looks like a pencil compared to The Monster.

I guess I have the same problem with picking out a Christmas tree that I do with eating. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach.

Well I guess that's what happens when you let me pick out the Tree by myself.

So I say Good Luck Christmas tree, I hope that Echo doesn't make you his new Toy!. You're crunchy, crinkly and filled with electricity just the way he likes em.
