Another great Christmas item! This year I'm all about the ornaments, I'm addicted to them they’re so shiny and sparkly, I just get mesmerized.

Follow up:

I love the way the gems and sequins sparkle and reflect the light from the Christmas lights, it's magical.

As you can tell I love Christmas, I love everything about it. I especially love the Christmas tree at night with all of the lights on. When I was a kid I used to love to fall asleep on the floor under the tree and you could feel the warmth from the lights, Magic!

When thinking about Christmas projects this year I decided to make these ornaments for two reasons; Make some to give away as gifts; and Some for The Christmas Monster of a Tree that I have.

I think I could make ornaments from now until Christmas and still not have enough.

The best part is this is a quick and easy project that's allot of fun to do with your kids, not too messy and no chance of breakage.

Items Needed:

Plastic Glitter Ornaments any Size or Color
10 mm Sequins any Color
7 mm Acrylic Gems Round Stones any Color
Ribbon to Match Ornaments
Beacon's 3-in-1 Glue

1. You can buy any type of Shatterproof Glitter Ornaments that you like.

  • Get an assortment of colors so that you can mix and match Sequins.
  • Make sure that the ornaments are the ones that already have glitter on them, they’re rougher so the sequins won't slide off.

2. Get several different colors of Sequins to match the different colors of Ornaments.

  • I like to put them in an organizer for easy access.

3. I found this 3-in-1 Fabric and Craft Glue.

  • It dries fast and clear.
  • Put a small dot of Glue on the Ornament where you want to put a Sequin.

4. Put the sequin on top of the glue.

5. There's no method to use for placement.

  • It's all about what you like.
  • Once all of your sequins are on, set aside and let the ornament dry for about an hour.

6. Put an Acrylic Gem in the center of each Sequin with a dot of Glue.

  • I like to put all different colors, or you can use one color for the entire ornament.
  • Once all of your Gems are on, set aside and let the ornament dry for about an hour.

7. Insert ribbon into the top loop of the ornament.

  • Make it long enough to tie a knot and have enough room to hang it with.
  • You can pick a color of ribbon that matches the ornament or just use silver or gold for all of your ornaments.

8. As you can see I used all different colors of ornaments and sequins.

9. You can even hot glue a small piece of feather boa at the top for fun.
