When thinking about New Year's Resolutions people generally choose something that they want to change about themselves.
I like to do things to better myself, not change. I try to choose something that I’ve always wanted to do, but put off for one reason or another.
Last year I took Cake Decorating classes. I've wanted to take them for years and no one would take them with me so I finally decided that I would take them by myself.
It was a great decision; I really enjoyed the lessons and put them to great use.
For my Resolution for this year I’ve decided to do two things:
With the help of Knitting for Dummies.
Knitting For Dummies
by Pam Allen, Tracy Barr and Shannon Okey
Follow up:
I have all kinds of grandiose plans for hats, scarves and gloves.
Then after some thought and crazy glove dreams, maybe I should stick with scarves and hats for this year.
There are lots of mistakes that can be made on gloves; the length of the fingers, are they too big? Are they too small?
And then there’s the width of the fingers, there's nothing worse than a glove whose fingers are too skinny.
So therefore I’m sticking to hats and scarves.

I used to take Tap when I was younger and I loved everything about it, I loved the way the shoes sounded on the kitchen floor.
And just think I can practice while I cook dinner, the perfect stage, my kitchen floor.
